Donn Fendler’s iconic story of perseverance and survival on Katahdin is now a major Hollywood film. This special film showing will feature a talk from film producer Ryan Cook and a Q&A session with the audience. Cook shared a close friendship with Fendler and brought his story to the big screen. The film tells the true story of 12-year-old Donn Fendler, who, after becoming lost in the rugged wilderness of northern Maine during the summer of 1939, grapples not only with his fight to survive but with the broken relationship with his father, whom he may never see again.
