(1992. US 1 hr, 35 min. Directed by Penelope Spheeris. PG-13.) The Grand begins a year of monthly screenings of beloved nineties movies with a great hang with a couple of chill dudes- "Wayne’s World!" Originally a skit on "Saturday Night Live" during the late '80s and early '90s, the comedy is about two teenage dudes who host a public access TV show, which is mainly about rock, babes and people who live in the area. One day Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey) go to a rock concert, and Wayne falls in love with a bass guitarist named Cassandra Wong (Tia Carrere). Wayne spends the rest of the movie trying to get Casandra to fall in love with him. He also struggles with a network executive (Rob Lowe) who wants to buy the rights to his show. Can Wayne defeat the evil network exec, all the while, winning over Cassandra? Find out as The Grand screens “Wayne’s World”- and it's only 80 cents a ticket! The film co-stars Lara Flynn Boyle, Brian Doyle Murray and Ed O’Neill.
